Savannah Distillery Ale House offers two private event spaces:
STAGE LEVEL – is our VIP area that overlooks the main dining room. It comfortably seats 30 people and guests order off the main menu. There is no room fee for this room. A credit card guarantee and a signed agreement are required to reserve this space. This area is accessible by a staircase that is not handicap accessible nor appropriate for playing children. All food must be provided by The Distillery Ale House, including desserts/cakes.
THE SPEAKEASY – is our 2nd floor private event space. This area comfortably seats 75 people and menu is selected by Client from attached lists. This venue is perfect for small weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday dinners, cocktail receptions, or anniversary parties.
The Speakeasy features:
- Seating for 75 people or standing room for up to 10
- Exposed Savannah brick walls and wood floors
- Beautiful private mahogany bar with 5 Craft Beer Taps
- Private restrooms
- Private staircase entry and Elevator Handicap Access

The Speakeasy at The Distillery Ale House

To reserve The Speakeasy for a private event, there is a minimum food and beverage total spend. Please email us to discuss details.
This “minimum spend” does not include the room rental fee, service charge of 20%, taxes, or other applicable fees. In the event that a minimum food and beverage spend is not met, a miscellaneous charge will be added to your bill to reflect the difference.
To reserve The Speakeasy for a private event, there is a non-refundable room fee to hold your date.
All bookings are considered tentative until the room fee is paid and a signed contract is received by our special events coordinator.
Use of room fee includes a “Day-Of Coordinator”, set up, clean up, buffet food service, availability of private bar, audio/ visual equipment and the use of our tables and chairs.
The room rental fee is up to 4 hours, any event that runs longer will be charged additonal fees.
Your room fee includes a buffet style food setup.
Food must be ordered from Private Event lists and not from Dining Room Menu. We do not allow outside catering. Wedding cakes/desserts will incur additional fees.
Buffet menu must be selected from packages, appetizers and/or dessert lists. Ordering from the Distillery Ale House main dining room menu is not an option.
Menu packages are priced per person. Children prices upon request.
Appetizers can be added to menu packages. Appetizers are priced per tray.
Desserts are priced by quantity.
Your private bar has the ability for up to five craft beer taps, depending on your final guest count. Drafts are chosen from The Distillery Ale House’s current main bar lineup with preferences of style selected by Client. Bar set-up can include liquor (well or top-shelf) OR just wine and beer. We would also be happy to create a custom infusion for your event. Custom bar set-ups can be as elaborate or as simple as you choose. We price on consumption only.
- Bartender fees apply per bartender. Coordinator will recommend # based upon group size, event type and needs.
- Drafts are continuously rotating according to season and availabilty. We will work with you to choose drafts: 5 lines for 50 or more people, 4 lines for 40 or more people and 3 lines for 30 or less people.
- House red and white wine. Other wines are available upon request.
- Well cocktails.
- Top shelf and small batch distillery spirits.
- A custom infusion “signature drink” is an option that is a great welcome drink for guests. A base liquor is chosen (vodka, bourbon, wine, etc.) and additional ingredients infused to create something unique. Price upon request and specifics.
Guaranteed Guest Count
Final guest counts are due at least 14 days prior to the date of the event (date noted on contract). Please be aware that food ordering and labor arrangements must be made in advance therefore once the final count is given, this count is FINAL.
Parking in Savannah’s historic district can be challenging. Fortunately we have solutions. After 5:00 pm, guests can free park in the Trolly lots in front or side of our building, and also in the bank lot next door (except for 24 hour commercial “towing enforced” lane). Prior to 5:00 pm, guests can park at the metered spaces on Liberty, Montgomery or at the parking garage adjacent (corner of Liberty and Montgomery).
Room fee must be paid in full in order to reserve the private space. This fee is non-refundable. A deposit of 50% of the estimated total must be received at least 14 days prior to the date of the event. Final payment is due at the completion of your event.
Audio and Music
The Distillery Ale House can provide the following at no additional charge: microphone, projector with screen. All audio use must be arranged in advance with Coordinator consultation.
Many clients choose to have just background music but if you prefer live…we recommend no more than a 3-person live band. The Speakeasy’s acoustic are much more conducive to background music. Size of guest count may not allow space for live band. All space contraints should be considered in advance.
Linens & Extras
Buffet tables will have black tablecloths unless Client provides otherwise. .
Other tables will NOT be covered. Any additional table coverings requested can be arranged at an additional cost through The Distillery Ale House (black only) or provided by Client’s own vendor. Black cloth napkins can be ordered in packs of 50.
Client is responsible for supplying any table decorations.
Our event coordinator can create menu cards for your event.
The Speakeasy has a supply of flower vases for Client’s use: Mason jars (large and small) or empty beer bottles (mix of green glass, brown and gold painted). We also have glass votives cups – Client must supply own candles.
